This delicious, perfectly balanced Zone cake is a fantastic treat.

Ingredients

  • Protein (8 Blocks):
    • 2 Eggs
    • 64g Skyr
    • 12g Isolate Protein Powder
    • 200g Quark (low-fat)
  • Carbohydrates (8 Blocks):
    • 50g Wheat Bran
    • 50g Oat Bran
    • 24g Honey
    • 110g Pear (grated or thinly sliced)
    • 6g Coconut flakes (unsweetened)
  • Fats (8 Blocks):
    • 15g Tahini
    • 22g Dark Chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
    • 15g Nuts (chopped, e.g., almonds or walnuts)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Base: Preheat your oven to 180°C. Grease and line a small baking tin.
  2. Mix the Base: Whisk the eggs with the tahini and Skyr until smooth. Fold in the isolate, wheat bran, and oat bran. Fold in the chopped dark chocolate.
  3. Bake: Spread the base batter into the prepared tin. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let it cool completely.
  4. Make the Cream: Combine the Quark with the honey. Adjust sweetness if needed.
  5. Assemble: Spread the cooled cake with the grated/sliced pear, then top with the prepared Quark cream.
  6. Finish: Sprinkle with the chopped nuts and coconut flakes. Chill for at least an hour to set the texture.
